Revised GCE Advanced-Level Curriculum 

Every Hwa Chong student receives an innovative and rigorous curriculum that emphasises academic excellence, creativity, character building and leadership.  The 6-year seamless curriculum, organized in a spiral framework, aims at stimulating students' intellectual curiosity, developing passions, and consolidating their knowledge in preparation for the revised GCE Advanced-Level (A-Level) Examinations.   
 
The new 2-year GCE A-Level Curriculum is most demanding.  School is in session 5 days per week, 40 weeks per year.  On top of the core curriculum (4 H2 subjects, General Paper, Mother Tongue Language, Project Work), many Hwa Chong students read 1 or 2 H3 subjects which are meant to allow exceptional students to pursue an area in which they have an interest and aptitude.  The academic year begins in January and students sit for the GCE A-Level Examinations in the following year in November.
