College Open House 2025

Hwa Chong Institution (College section) successfully held its annual Open House on Tuesday, 14 January 2025, welcoming over a thousand visitors, including prospective students, parents, alumni, and community members. The event provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to explore HCI’s comprehensive offerings, including its state-of-the-art campus, diverse academic courses, co-curricular activities (CCAs), and the supportive school community.

During the afternoon, visitors engaged in various activities across the school grounds. The Central Plaza featured lively performing arts showcases by CCAs and student committees, highlighting the college’s vibrant cultural scene. In the lecture theatres, informative talks introduced HCI’s specialised programmes, such as the Science-Math Talent Programme, Computing Talent Programme, Humanities Programme, and Bicultural Studies Programme. Additionally, classrooms hosted senior-junior tea sessions, fostering interactions between current students and their prospective peers. The library served as a hub for subject-specific booths and academic consultations, offering personalised guidance to attendees.

College Open House is a significant event for HCI, meticulously planned by the Open House Committee and student leaders under the supervision of dedicated teachers. Months of preparation ensured a well-organised and engaging experience for all participants. For many prospective students, the Open House plays a crucial role in their decision-making process, helping them determine if HCI aligns with their educational and personal goals.
