College Open House 2026

On 16 Jan 2026, Hwa Chong Institution (College Section) opened its doors to nearly 2800 guests, including prospective students, parents, alumni, and community members. This year’s Open House showcased the vibrancy of Hwa Chong’s school culture through the colourful school spirit, extensive co-curricular activities, and diverse academic pathways that shape the Hwa Chong Experience.

Throughout the action-packed afternoon, guests caught a glimpse of the Hwa Chong Experience as they engaged in the various activities located across the College Section. From the multitude of CCAs located in the Indoor Sports Hall, College Hall and the Wings of the Central Plaza, to the Key Events Showcase held in our state-of-the-art classrooms, visitors explored the wide range of opportunities that awaited them in Hwa Chong.

Concurrently, the Library showcased the diverse academic pathways that Hwa Chong offers through the various subject and Special Programme booths hosted by students and staff. Talks hosted in our Lecture Theatres also provided greater insight on the Hwa Chong Experience.

In the heart of the College Section, the Central Plaza, CCAs put up performances in a display of our lively and diverse school culture. The CCA Showcases also featured performances and Faculty cheers by all four Faculty Committees, followed by a mass SODACHE (Song, Dance and Cheer) session featuring classic College Songs. The proceedings of Open House 2026 ended with “Rock You”, an iconic College Cheer, performed in the Central Plaza by Student Councillors, Faculty Committees, CCA Leaders and other members of the school community in display of the #4Facs1Hwach (4 Faculties, 1 Hwa Chong) Spirit.

While Open House has come to an end, our hearts remain open as we look forward to welcoming new members into our family!
