Hwa Chong Humanities Programme Symposium 2025
On 13 Mar 2025, Hwa Chong’s Humanities Programme, joined by students from SMTP, BSP, high school, NYGH and other schools, came together for the inaugural Hwa Chong Humanities Programme Symposium.
The theme for this year's symposium, “We, The Adaptable Citizens”, revolved around topics of adapting and adjusting to our ever-changing VUCA world.
We were honoured to have alumni Shaun Khoo (11A14), Minerva Lim (11A14) and Kylie Liu (11A15) back to share their valuable insights as panellists.
Our J2 HP students also presented their capstone projects. With topics ranging from hawker culture to Chinese dialects, this year’s academic papers spotlighted sustainability in Singapore’s communities, facilitating meaningful discussions amongst participants. Numerous comparisons between Singapore’s and Japan’s sustainability efforts were made, utilising the learning experiences HP students had gained on their trip to Japan at the end of last year.
We hope that all participants had an enriching and memorable experience! 💛❤️
