Hwa Chong Educator Named Outstanding Economics Teacher

Hwa Chong educator, Mr David Chong, received the Outstanding Economics Teacher Award (OETA) at the Singapore Economic Policy Forum 2022. The award is given in recognition of economic tutors who have exhibited excellence in the teaching and learning of Economics.

On how he inspires his students, Mr Chong has this to share, “If we can find a purpose that is greater than ourselves, this will help us develop an indefatigable spirit. We will no longer count personal gains or losses, if we can see the greater good that is achieved in the lives of others.”
