Young Reporter News Challenge 2024
This year’s Young Reporter News Challenge saw enthusiastic participation. The event, jointly organised by Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), MediaCorp 8world, Speak Mandarin Campaign, with support from the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language attracted nearly 500 students from 53 secondary schools.
The competition was divided into three categories: "Fresh news", "Re-tell news" and "News Bites 60". Participants were required to create a news video according to the specific requirements of each category. After a fierce competition, 31 out of 219 entries emerged victorious.
Our school's contestants performed remarkably well, securing one silver, one bronze, and two consolation prizes. The silver prize in the "Re-tell news" category was awarded to the team for their entry "Don't Fall for the Phishing Scam." The team, led by 黎新宇（3O1), along with classmates 陈芷宁、李熙源、李俊緯，以及谭正岳（3O3), dedicated over a month of effort from conception to completion.
黎新宇 mentioned that due to the prevalence of scams, they hoped their video would raise awareness about various scamming techniques and serve as a warning to the public. He said, "After thorough research and analysis, our team learned about different types of scams and enhanced our own awareness. This was our biggest gain. The overall quality of entries this year was very high, and winning the award is a recognition of our efforts. We look forward to achieving even better results next year."

《我来报新闻2024》挑战赛 我校荣获一银一铜
今年，由新传媒8视界、推广华文学习委员会、讲华语运动联合主办，并得到新加坡华文教研中心支持的第三届《我来报新闻2024》挑战赛，报名非常踊跃，总共吸引了53所中学近500名学生参加。
比赛分为三个组别——“鲜新闻”、“再生新闻”及“创意新闻60秒”。参赛者需根据各组别的特定要求，在尊重事实的基础上发挥创意，录制一个报道视频。经过一番角逐，在219份参赛作品中最终有31份胜出。
我校选手表现颇为亮眼，成功拿下一银、一铜及两个鼓励奖，为校争光。其中赢得“再生新闻”组别银奖的是《双宇视界：钓鱼骗局别上钩》。组长黎新宇（3O1）和同班的陈芷宁、李熙源、李俊緯，以及谭正岳（3O3）从构思到杀青，前后投入一个多月的心血。
黎新宇表示由于诈骗案层出不穷，他们希望借着视频让更多人对诈骗伎俩有更深的了解，起到警醒作用。他说道：“我组在认真调查和消化资料后，认识不同种类的诈骗手法，提升了自己的防范意识，这是最大的收获。今年整体参赛作品的水平很高，获奖是个肯定，我们期盼明年能更上一层楼。”
